So, About My New Year's In New York

Hey guys, happy new year! I know I'm a little late when I say that; forgive me.

Blogging freely feels weird after solely dedicating this space to Reverb 10 (which I loved doing, by the way). But I'm back!

2011, huh? This year, I said to hell with resolutions. I'm already pretty hard on myself and make resolutions year round, so I figured this year, why not just set a single goal? And that goal? To chill the eff out. I know this is a general goal, which was my whole point. It encompasses a lot, and is something that I feel will benefit me a lot if I can pull it off. So that's my goal for 2011. Feel free to share your resolutions/goals/etc. I'd love to hear them.

I went back to my old home for New Year's: New York. My grandma's birthday is on New Year's Eve, so that was reason #1 to go. Reason #2 was to see all my old girlfriends (one whose birthday is on the same day!), who I hadn't been with in for-ever.

It was a great New Year's Eve. Had a little birthday dinner with Grandma and a friend, then took the train into the city to party with the ladies.

[Feel free to guess how old my grandma is. I can almost guarantee you you'll be wrong!]

I also spent some family time with my cousins (above), which was lovely.

It was a great trip, one that reminded me that I so badly want need to live in the city sometime in the near future. My lease is up in July...

As for this brand new year, well...I love it. I love new years in general, mainly because I love fresh starts. Who doesn't, right? I have a few changes I'd really like to make to this blog, and what better time to start than a new year? Stay tuned for that.

That's all for now! Talk to me. I've missed you all (per usual).

i can't even guess how old your grandma is, but she looks fantastic!!
this could be an interesting year for you, especially if you move back! do you definitely feel like NYC is 'your' city, or are there other big cities you'd consider living in?
my resolutions feel slightly more like goals that i'm dead set on achieving, but one is to move out, another is to take latin dance classes (why not!), and a 3rd is to go big for my 25th bday bash in july ;)

Ahhh can't wait to see the blog changes!

I spent NYE in NYC last year and was a bit sad that this year's was spent on the couch. Glad you were able to go, though!

I L-O-V-E your gma. Such a cute patootie.

Love you, miss you and all that jazz. xoxo

Your grandma is simply adorable, I bet she is old but she doesn't look it, right? Oh and so glad you were able to get together with some friends and cousins, you look so happy Ali. I can't wait to see your changes on your blog land and my goal for the year? Yes, I agree, I too need to chill but my goal is simple - to maintain my hope and follow through on what needs to be done to maintain it. xo.
