So, Meet My DVR...

In my family, I was never the TV-obsessed one. That title was reserved for my sister, Liza. Her idea of relaxing is cuddling up in her bed with her man, DVR. As for me, I prefer coffee, a Sudoku puzzle and blog reading/writing.

But lately? Lately, I've been getting into a crap load of shows. And my DVR's got a full belly (um, that was a weird thing to say and I recognize this). Here's my current lineup.

Monday

Pretty Little Liars: Okay, this show's damn good. And sometimes, I debate whether or not it's suitable for ABC Family. But then again, this is the same network that's home to a show about a pregnant teenager whose jerk face baby daddy is actually involved and whose ex-boyfriend is fathering a child with said baby daddy's ex (did you get all that?). Also, it's not like I watch that show too, no sir. Not me. At any rate, Pretty Little Liar's got it all: beautiful people, suspense, beautiful people and suspense. Bonus: the crazy (supposedly) dead bitch's name is Ali. So now, I like to end my emails with just..."A." What?

Tuesday

Parenthood: I love me a good warmhearted drama, and this one fits the bill perfectly. At first, when my mom suggested I watch it, I was all, this show's missing something/it's weird/not a fan. But now, I love the awkwardness and all the love in this show. Favorite storyline = Haddie's crush on soup kitchen guy. Way cute.

Glee: Duh.

Wednesday

Modern Family: Phil Dunfey, you're my hero. No explanation necessary.

Law & Order: SVU: This is a family fave. I honestly think we've seen every single episode and between you and me, we all hold up our hands and slam them down when the "dun dun!" sounds in the beginning (how cool are we?). I just wish Liv and Elliot would get down to business already. You can cut that (sexual) tension with a knife. A knife! Am I right or am I right?

Thursday

Grey's Anatomy: Gave up on this show last year, rekindled my love for it after I heard about the shooter finale. Watched that, couldn't believe the whole thing, was back on the bandwagon. Just like that. I'll admit, I miss George and Izzie like whoa, but my heart will go on. In fact, it already has. Hello, Eli...

The Vampire Diaries: At first, this show served as a placeholder until True Blood returned. Now? I'm in love. That's really all I have to say about this one. That, and I think Nina Dobrev's a little hooker for playing two characters, and therefore getting to kiss all those beautiful people.

Friday

Blue Bloods: To me, this show is a hybrid of Law & Order and Parenthood. If those two shows procreated, this would be their child. Also, I don't know how he does it, but Tom Selleck comes off as the President in every show/movie he's in. This one's no exception. Check it out, it's good.

And ones I'm new to (New York edition, apparently)...

Selling New York: I figure watching this show can't hurt since I'm trying to get back to New York within the year. But then again, it might also hurt very much (thanks, exorbitant real estate prices in New York!).

Kourtney and Kim Take New York: Don't hate. I like this family. And now they're on my old turf. It would be cruel of me to not tune in.

What's on your DVR?

I don't do the cable thing, but I'm addicted to my Netflix and Hulu subscriptions. What's on those lists? Glee (duh, also), Modern Family, Arrested Development, 30 Rock. Plans to get back into Grey's Anatomy ASAP. :)

I love TV. I actually wrote a post last week about how much I love TV. I am also a big fan of Parenthood... I used to love Gilmore Girls, so I am thrilled that Lauren Graham is in something new (that is awesome...)

I know you have a lengthy list going BUT I think you would LOVE Dexter! If you don't have HBO it's on Hulu. I also "have heard" teen mom is scary addicting!

Love Glee & Modern Family :)

Whoa. You think that is bad? You should see OUR DVR. Actually it's not even DVR anymore because our cable company's boxes didn't have enough memory for all of our shows (we lost half of them when we went on vaca for a week). So, now it's Mr. TiVo. Yup, more DVR than you could imagine!

I love Law & Order: SVU (fam fav for me too), Grey's, Glee, Blue Bloods too. I didn't get into Glee right away, I'll admit, but I love it now and can't wait for its return. Grey's I just really started watching regularly last season, and the finale... wowza! And I have to say Blue Bloods is one of my favorite new shows. Good stuff.

PLL is the best, even though it scares the actual shit out of me. I watch Real Housewives, Glee, Parenthood, Modern Family...

I love TV.

A full belly! HA!

Okay I'm not a big TV person...in fact I told Pittman to get rid of cable all together because I'd rather put that money towards shoes but he insists we have it...meh. When I do watch though I love all the housewives shows and...hmmm, Oprah maybe? Oh, I do catch SVU reruns and I do like those a lot.

My DVR is my other husband. I haven't watched Pretty Little Liars yet but since you gave it the thumbs up, I'll check it out.

I think I'm the only person in America who doesn't have DVR.

And it's probably better that way. I already spend way too much time in front of the TV as is.

Ok let's see if I can remember everything I wanted to comment on. I'm pregnant, so that's probably a no.

Parenthood, I've been meaning to check out. Thanks for the reminder!

Modern Family kills me. In the best way possible. I want Cam to be my friend. And Gloria too, because she's beautiful.

Grey's Anatomy can kiss my white butt. I jumped WAY off that bandwagon after season 2. It just got stupidly ridiculous and I refuse to give it my time. Much like Desperate Housewives and The Bachelor/ette.

Things not on your list that should be: Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (the drama makes me positively giddy), Millionaire Matchmaker, The Mentalist, and if you haven't paid attention to anything else I've said, listen to me now... Friday Night Lights. I'm in love. With a TV show. If you can start from the beginning, even better, because this is their last season. Which is making me teary, so I'll go now.

Except I need to say I do believe that was the longest comment I've ever written. I'm pretty passionate about my TV.

I'm not much of a TV watcher either to be honest. I'm more of a blogger/web-surfer too. :)

Glee is a duh and so glad to hear that you're back into Grey's! I can't wait to see the new few eppies and I too miss George and Izzie! I've seen you tweet about Pretty Little Liars, I might have to give that a go. Currently I'm still hooked on The Bachelor (yep guilty!), Friday Night Lights, Grey's, Life Unexpected, and a few others to boot! Have fun with your DVR. I'd be in big trouble if I had one!

I don't have a TV, I gave mine away when I got married and never replaced it - but that doesn't stop my from watching my faves on Hulu. I love The Office, and Top Chef, and my secret shows that I love are Pretty Little Liars and The Bachelor (don't tell my husband, he'll groan with disgust, hahaha).

You gave me some very good ideas on what to watch in the next few days...show I need to look into and see if they're available here. And hands down I love Modern Family (Cam's my favorite)!

Why didn't I see the Bachelor on your list???? Is it to hard to watch without my witty commentary? It is SO good this season, although Brad is no Roberto.

I have a serious problem with Thursday night tv! Jersey Shore, American Idol, Grey's Anatomy, and Private Practice are all on my DVR. And I haven't watched Parenthood yet, but it's next on my list! I've heard it's great and has a spectacular cast.

I also love Friday Night Lights (can't believe it's over) and One Tree Hill.

Ahhh I love Pretty Little Liars! The books are better though - you should check them out if you haven't already. And Glee is amazing, of course.
