Last night, we had to put Molly to sleep.
Typing that doesn't feel right; I don't think it's completely sunk in for any of us, Emma included.
It was time. The cancer took its toll on her in just 48 hours. But knowing that we were doing the right thing didn't make it any less difficult to say goodbye.
Molly, from the bottom of my heart, thank you being the best worst dog for the past 11 years. I love you beyond words.

Making that choice, shows your love. But it still hurts like heck.
No matter how much you prepare yourself.
It's so hard to say good-bye.
But she's not suffering anymore.
I wish more people would think of their animals first.

Oh, Ali. I'm so so sorry. We had to put our little shih tzu, Mayling down when I was 22. It was the worst day ever. I didn't think I'd ever stop crying. But I did, and it started to hurt less over time.
Hang in there, let yourself cry, and do something nice for yourself.
