This weekend was...cheesy.
However, in my opinion, anything that involves cheese is good (I felt this way last year too). And this weekend involved cheese, so all was right with the world for just a little while. However?

Despite the huge crowds...
...cute Little Miss Sunshine-esque vehicle...
...THE truck...
...artery-clogging deliciousness...
...and buttons......The Grilled Cheese Invitational was kind of a ripoff.
Let's take inventory:
- $10 admission (fine)
- $8 parking (on top of the above admission...uh...)
- $5 grilled cheese (mac and cheese + more cheese + sourdough = no words) from the oh so famous Grilled Cheese Truck (not bad, but where are the free samples?)
- $5 ticket for a "free" beer (not okay)
Verdict? Eh. Grilled cheese may be delicious and perfect in every way, but it's definitely not worth spending the nearly $30 to enjoy it.
Regardless, we had a great time. And so did my shoulders, as they are now a nice shade of sienna, thanks to the sun.

I was so sad to have missed this due to work... but this makes me feel like it was maybe ok. :)
I had also heard that it was all colors of fanciness with free samples and general awesome. I <3 the grilled cheese truck (Z and I once split a mac n cheese sandwich... WHAT?!), but you can eat there any time!

yeah i thought about going to this but i've just heard that it's so crowded and you don't get your money's worth, but at least you had fun and got to experience some cheesy deliciousness!!
i can't BELIEVE they have a grilled cheese festival!!! amazing. freaking amazing. i love cheese. too bad they ripped you off so much though. $18 just to get in the door is ridiculous.

growing up i only ordered grilled cheese. didn't matter where we were, italian restaurant...mexican...i only ate grilled cheese. and somehow, i always got my grilled cheese.
so yea, you can say i love grilled cheese anything.

I kinda wanted to go to this but I learned my lesson after going to the Food Truck Festival a couple months ago. Major FAIL. Crazy, crazy lines and ugh. So not worth it. But man, it is hard to resist cheese ...

After my epic fail at the LA food festival I didn't even want to attempt this! And from the looks of things, I didn't miss much. Except for delicious cheese, of course.
