Weekend Recap (and an award!)

This weekend was really great. I worked for a little bit on Saturday morning, then had a personal training session at the gym (they were having a deal - 3 one hour sessions for just $90!). After that, I got a much needed manicure and pedicure. And when I say much needed, I mean it. I'm totally not one of those girls who needs her nails done all the time. No sir. Which is why I was desperate to get 'em done - they were nasty! My mom had a gift certificate that she didn't want to use (she's weird like that) so she gave it to me. I was in heaven. And I only got the color on my nails because it's called Shootout at the O.K. Coral. The fact that I actually like the color is an added bonus.

Do any of you judge a nail polish by its name? I so do. It's weird.

After nail time, it was frozen yogurt time with mama. We met there and had yogurt that melted the second we walked outside to sit. But it was lovely.

That night, I went out with Sam and Colleen. I do enjoy these girls a lot.

Smile at another camera, ladies!

Sunday brought a grilled cheese party. The lovely C and S of Paisley Petunia hosted an intimate gathering of friends and fellow bloggers to make some delicious grilled cheese sandwiches. I had never met any of these ladies, but I loved every single one of them. I also loved this.

The ingredients for a fabulous time!

S is a grilled cheese pro.

A bunch of different cheeses, arugula, veggie bacon and avocado = deliciousness.

There were cupcakes. And white sangria.

The lovely hostesses!

I had a wonderful time, but am sad to say that consuming more cheese is not in my near future!

Last night was capped off with True Blood (um, so what is Maryann anyway?!) and some much needed sleep.

A fantastic weekend for me. What about you?

PS: I received this happy award from Irene at Year of My Fake Engagement and was am so happy!

I shop at Benefit cosmetics just because their products have the coolest names, so no, you're not alone.

I had a grilled cheese last night, but it didn't look anything like in your pictures.

That sandwich looks amazing, and so glad you had fun with the girls! I went hiking (you should totally do it!) and saw my BFF, but you probably already know that from my blog land. Have a great week sweetie! xoxo
